EDA approves a $45,000 engineering contract for the golf course water system

As the sale of the Superior National at Lutsen golf course moves toward its August 21, 2026 closing, the EDA adopted Resolution 2026-26: a professional services agreement with Barr Engineering, not to exceed $45,000, for design and construction support connecting Lutsen Mountains snowmaking water to the golf course irrigation system. The board heard the escrow held back for septic and irrigation fixes was estimated at $500,000, and closer to $600,000 at 150% of estimates.
